Request LoGIStics is a next generation software product that provides a user-intuitive, web-based interface for the creation of service requests and public inquiries as part of the Azteca Cityworks™ software suite. Request LoGIStics is specifically designed for state and local government agencies to support administration of public services. Key product differentiators are the flexibility of Request LoGIStics to accommodate existing agency-specific Cityworks workflows, configurable for use with a variety of available map services, including ESRI ArcGIS Online, Google, Bing, and others, and incorporated within the user’s internet and/or intranet website.

 

What it Does

Request LoGIStics employs multiple searching options and leverages the Cityworks™ service request configuration for each type of request to provide both constituents and agency staff a robust, intuitive and user-friendly tool to submit, search for and review service requests. This greatly improves the details on the service request, which results in a more accurate and timely response to the citizen. Request LoGIStics captures problem or request details, comments, requestor information, and the location of the incident. It then accesses the Cityworks™ service request configuration to assign a priority, and to appropriately route the request to the responsible agency department.

How it Works

Request LoGIStics uses web services to interface with the Cityworks™ database and therefore requires no third party database or Cityworks™ database customization. Once the Service Request is submitted online, it is automatically saved to the Cityworks™ database where a Cityworks™ user can manage the request as they would according to their standard operating procedure. The portal can utilize many different external mapping services such as ESRI ArcGIS Server, ESRI ArcGIS Explorer, Google Maps, Google Earth, Microsoft Bing, as well as the organization’s internal map services.
